Cleopa has a Computer Science Background from Kenyatta University. He has extensive experience working in NGOs having worked with Telecentre.org and Kenya Telecentre Network among others.
Cleopa has helped in the implementation of several ICT projects ranging from Microsoft Unlimited Potential, UNESCO/SIDA – Empowering local radios with ICTs, and The Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation – ICT in agriculture project.
His interest in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has seen him receive several trainings on drones especially for humanitarian applications and looks to steer Kenya Flying Labs to greater heights working with partners in the country to support organizations and individuals interested in exploring use of UAVs in various sectors.
Mr. Sospeter O.Opondo
Mr. Opondo holds RePL certificates in Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) and Artificial Intelligences; An Accountant and Diploma in Business Management; He is a Member of American Management Association and is a former Safety and Data Management Consultant at Kenya Civil Aviation Authority;Accountable Manager and Business Support /Transformative expert for over forty years.
His interest in Rotorcrafts, Unmanned Aerial Systems and Aviation related services stretches back to his days at Autair Helicopters whose business among others was to carry helicopter related services; business assets and interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Sharon is a Telecommunications and Information Engineer with a passion for ICT4D. After graduating from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in 2014, she joined Safaricom PLC as a Graduate Management Trainee, and later Senior Products Officer for Social Innovation and Technology for Development. During her time at Safaricom, Sharon worked on innovative products in EdTech, Greentech, Humanitarian response and Refugee affairs. After 3 and a half years at Safaricom, she joined Andela as a Product Coordinator.
Sharon is a 2018 Techwomen Fellow. As a Techwomen Emerging Leader, she spent 5 weeks in the United States undergoing an intensive mentorship program which included a 1 month internship at Microsoft.
In July 2018, Sharon completed the WeRobotics Online course for Drones in Humanitarian action. She is keen on advancing the use of drones for good in the region.
Anne Nderitu is an engineer at Kenya Flying Labs. She graduated on top of her class in B.Eng(Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering. She is highly experienced in engineering design having previously worked as a lead design engineer for top engineering firms in Kenya. Anne is also good at data analytics where she draws meaningful insights from data. She is a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), fellow and her goal is to create a positive impact across the world using technology.
Harrison is passionate about technology, exploring robotics for data collection and analysis, enjoys applications programming and working on big data. He is well versed in Data Science and Machine Learning having worked extensively on public data sets and developed predictive models. He is also fluent in in leading software for imagery processing and analysis, and has programming experience in Python and Java.
Harrison works as a mobile and web developer at Media Force in Kenya, he has extensive experience developing Applications for web and mobile platforms.
He holds a postgraduate Professional Certificate in Data Science from IBM and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture &Technology.
